ROGER MILLS, PhD

Roger Mills was one of the pioneers in the development, testing and application of a Three-Principles-based psychology. The National Institute of Mental Health, the U.S. Department of Justice, the National Institute of Drug Abuse, the California Wellness Foundation, and major private foundations funded his pilot-demonstration projects. Dr. Mills’ work with inner city schools and communities plagued with drugs, crime, welfare dependence and abuse resulted in national innovative projects awards, national network and public television coverage, and foundation-funded and corporate-produced documentaries on empowerment, resiliency and change, and unleashing the human potential.

“People’s lives become what they think is possible.” – Roger Mills

SYDNEY BANKS

Philosopher, lecturer, and author Sydney Banks (1931 – 2009) was born in Scotland, and lived and worked much of his life in Canada. After a profound insight into the true nature of the mind in 1973, Banks spent the latter part of his life sharing that insight. The result was the development of what Banks called “The Three Principles of Mind, Consciousness, and Thought.” The insights that Banks shared have had a profound impact on the practice of psychology and psychiatry within a growing community of professionals in therapy, education, and rehabilitation. Correctional facilities, halfway houses, and even shelters for the homeless have all introduced The Three Principles with outstanding success. Banks’ insights have proved to be an affirmative and constructive force in the lives of tens of thousands of individuals. Hes teachings now live on in his books as well as video and audio recordings of his public lectures. His major works are published by Lone Pine Publishing of Edmonton, Alberta, who have also produced his video and audio recordings.

“If the only thing people learned was not to be afraid of their experience, that alone would change the world.” – Syd Banks

AMI CHEN MILLS-NAIM

Ami Chen Mills-Naim is a global speaker, coach, trainer, editor and author of State of Mind in the Classroom: Thought, Consciousness and the Essential Curriculum for Healthy Learning, and The Spark Inside: A Special Book for Youth. With her late father, the social scientist Dr. Roger Mills (considered a pioneer of “Three Principles” work globally) she co-founded  Center for Sustainable Change, and served as its Executive Director and Education Director for a decade. In this role, she raised nearly one million dollars in funding for Principles-based/innate resiliency programs across the U.S. She has been an international speaker on innate wellness and resiliency, and a trainer of the “Three Principles” for 20 years, as well as a “trainer of trainers.”

ELSIE SPITTLE

Elsie Spittle has been an internationally recognized trainer and consultant for over four decades. She is one of the few people who knew Sydney Banks, originator of the Three Principles, before he had his profound insight, and who stuck by him, despite her own early strong resistance. Elsie had the privilege of receiving “on the job” training directly from Mr. Banks, travelling with him to address mental health practitioners, educators, and others seeking a deeper understanding of life. Since then, Elsie has been invited to consult with all levels of executives and employees in the corporate world, and has been instrumental in transforming disadvantaged communities. She has worked with staff and youth in juvenile justice settings, as well as with individuals via coaching and retreats, and is co-founder of the Three Principles School, dedicated to sharing the integrity and purity of the Principles for the benefit of future generations.

“Just because a blind man can’t see the heavens, doesn’t mean the stars don’t exist.” – Elsie Spittle
